Liquid Facelift

Liquid Facelift

Overview

The “liquid facelift” is a minimally invasive, non-surgical approach to achieving a rejuvenated, youthful appearance. Through injections of a combination of fillers –such as Restylane®, Juvederm®, Perlane®, Radiesse®, and Sculptra®– and Botox® or Dysport®, the liquid facelift relaxes wrinkles, softens facial folds, adds volume, and lifts sagging skin to create a refreshed, more vibrant appearance.  The results can be dramatic and may rival those achieved by surgical procedures…hence the name!

The liquid facelift may be used in combination with other non-surgical procedures such as chemical peel, medical grade facial, fractional laser resurfacing, or photofacial for maximal facial rejuvenation.  These complementary procedures may resurface the skin, treat fine lines, improve skin texture and hyperpigmentation, and stimulate collagen formation.

Am I a good candidate for a liquid facelift?

You may be an excellent candidate for a liquid facelift if you desire minimally invasive, office-based procedures to maximally enhance your appearance. You should consider a liquid facelift if you look older or more tired than you feel and wish to improve the appearance of:

  •  nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth)
  • marionette lines
  • sagging, flat cheeks
  • hollows under the eyes
  • creases and furrows in your forehead
  • wrinkles around the eyes and lips
  • jowls

What should I expect during my liquid facelift procedure?

Dr. Chung will design a treatment program specific for your face and your aesthetic goals. Dr. Chung typically employs a multi-layering technique, utilizing various fillers in different parts of the face. While some patients choose to use multiple fillers in one visit, many patients decide to stage their treatments for a gradual improvement over time.

During the treatments, your skin will be cleansed and tiny needles will be used for your injections. There is minimal discomfort, and most people return to work and their normal activities right away.

What happens after my liquid facelift treatment?

Depending on the combination of fillers use, you may see an improvement in your face right away or the change may be gradual. As with any injection, there may be mild swelling and redness at the injection site. Occasionally bruising may occur which usually clears in a week. You will naturally and subtly look rejuvenated and more refreshed.
